You may have noticed that many of the trees in Signal Hill and Long Beach have started blooming and shedding vibrant purple petals: it’s jacaranda season.
For the next two weeks, we encourage our readers to take a nature walk through their neighborhood and find their favorite purple tree. Whether it’s a single splash of purple in the El Dorado Nature Center or rows of jacaranda trees in a residential area, we’ll be sure to publish every bright, pretty purple entry we get.
