Coming up this week: a heat wave, a holiday and like clockwork, a new photo prompt.

The Signal Tribune is soaking in the summer season by kicking off a new series of coverage on summer night activities like the Bixby Knolls Concerts in the Park(ing lot).

While we share different free ways to spend the season in Long Beach and Signal Hill, we want to see how you celebrate summer.

Whether you’re skating through the city, watching a movie at the park, running through sprinklers or relaxing in your garden, we want to share all the ways families and friends in Long Beach spend their summer days and nights. Residents can send in pictures of their favorite summertime activities to see their photos published in the newspaper and online.

For the next two weeks, we’ll be accepting photos of any and all summer memories, whether it’s from this year or a cherished summer memory spent locally.

Photos can be sent via email to Newspaper@SignalTribune.com or to our Instagram @SignalTribune.
