Recreation program for people with disabilities coming to Stearns Champions Park in Long Beach

Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) will host in-person adaptive recreation programs at Stearns Champions Park for middle and high school students and adults from April 30 through June 11.

The programs will feature activities designed for people with disabilities such as art, games and exercises.

The adult program will cost $20 per week and be held Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The middle and high school programs will cost $15 per week and take place Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 

The programs will maintain staff-to-participant ratios and other protocols with the health and safety of participants in mind.
