
According to the organization, Pillsbury has devoted many years to serving the Long Beach community, having first volunteered with the Long Beach Cancer League in 1982 and having held numerous roles in the organization throughout the years. Pillsbury has also been involved in philanthropic efforts with Long Beach Junior League, Long Beach Ronald McDonald House, Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, Girl Scouts, Long Beach Medical Association Auxiliary, and the Long Beach Museum of Art.
Pillsbury will be honored at the organization’s annual Woman of the Year luncheon on Feb. 2. The event, which benefits Operation School Bell, is open to the public.
