It its 30-year history of operating four Ronald McDonald Houses, Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, four scholarship programs and a community grants board, RMHCSC has provided more than $40 million worth of services to local children and families.
“RMHCSC annually helps thousands of children, families and students, providing happiness, health, hope and hugs for those most in need,” said Nicole Rubin, RMHCSC CEO. “These needs are multiplying exponentially in our region and RMHCSC is committed to serving more families this year and beyond, by continuing its community grants and scholarship program and by expanding Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times and four Ronald McDonald Houses as well as building a fifth house to open in Long Beach in 2010.”
“RMHCSC began 30 years ago with two dozen caring individuals on the original board of trustees,” said RMHCSC founder and President Stuart Siegel. “The initial idea was to have a house and a camp serving children with cancer and their families. From this humble start, RMHCSC grew beyond our wildest dreams to provide so much positive impact, directly and indirectly, to millions of people throughout this large and growing region.”
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California’s services are made possible through the support of individuals and many local businesses and community organizations.
