The Greater Los Angeles/Long Beach Chapter of the American Liver Foundation (ALF) will have its annual Liver Life Walk. The public is invited to join friends, family, and co-workers Saturday, September 27 at 8 a.m. at Griffith Park to walk as a symbol of hope for those who are coping with liver diseases. There are more than 100 liver diseases, including hepatitis, fatty liver disease and liver cancer.
Form your own team, participate on your own, or join Gary Dudley and Jane Fallon’s “Liver Spots” team, to walk/run the 5K distance. Their online fundraising tools make it easy to raise money that will change the lives of the 30 million people in the United States living with liver disease. It will be a day of fun and excitement. Every step taken and every contribution a team makes will bring the American Liver Foundation another stride closer to fulfilling its mission to provide research, education, and advocacy to those living with liver disease.
It is easy to sign up online at go.liverfoundation.org to fill out a form, or call Taly Fantini at (310) 670-4624. Registration is at 6:30 a.m., opening ceremonies are at 7:40 a.m. and the walk begins 8 a.m. The address is Griffith Park, 4730 Crystal Springs Drive.
