A local man is dead after an apparently gang-related shooting.
On Monday, Oct.19, about 12:35am, Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) responded to a shooting in the 2000 block of Magnolia Avenue.
When officers arrived, they discovered a male adult had been struck in the torso by gunfire. Long Beach Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim, in critical condition, to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. He had been identified as 25-year-old William Tyshoen Davis.
A motive for the shooting is unknown, and it is being investigated as possibly gang-related.
