SHPD to conduct DUI checkpoint

As part on an ongoing effort to intercept and regulate the presence of alcohol- and drug-impaired drivers on the roadway, the Signal Hill Police Department will conduct a sobriety and driver license checkpoint on Friday, August 14. The checkpoint will be operational between the hours of 7pm and 3am for northbound traffic on Cherry Avenue at 28th Street. Individuals found to be operating their vehicles without a valid driver license may be issued a citation and have their vehicle impounded.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety.
