Signal Hill residents will soon be able to register and pay for recreation programs and excursions online now that the City’s Community Services Department has partnered with CivicRec software company to roll out a new, online parks-and-recreation management system. The new cloud-based recreation website will allow all citizens greater visibility into everything the Community Services Department has to offer, city officials said.
In addition to program registration, citizens will be able to view available dates for picnic shelters or community rooms.
The CivicRec website is designed to be easy to navigate and mobile-friendly, allowing patrons to search for community activities and events, register and make payments from a smartphone or tablet.
Those interested may set up an account at secure.rec1.com/CA/signal-hill-ca/catalog beginning Monday, April 30. Accounts are not final until verified in person at the Community Services Department located on the third floor of City Hall, 2175 Cherry Ave.
