The community is invited to the grand opening of the City of Signal Hill’s first dog park, 3100 California Ave., on Saturday, March 17, from 2pm to 4pm.
Licensed and vaccinated pets are welcome at the event, which will feature pet licensing, low-cost pet vaccines, face painting, vendors, giveaways and light refreshments. There will also be a Silly Dog Tricks Contest at 2:30pm and a dog look-alike contest at 3pm.
The .46 acre dog park will include separate areas for small and large dogs, dog play equipment, bench seating and shade sails.
Residents are encouraged to be a permanent part of the dog park by purchasing a commemorative engraved brick through the Signal Hill Dog Park Bricks program. Four brick options are available, and each can be customized. The program benefits the dog park’s future amenities and program services. Purchases are tax-deductible.
