The Community Hospital of Long Beach is having a health lecture on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Chronic Bronchitis and Emphysema. The lecture will discuss how smoking affects your lungs and treatment options for emphysema. COPD is the fourth leading cause of death in America and the number of women dying from the disease has surpassed that of men. The lecture is Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the hospital’s auditorium. Community Hospital of Long Beach is located at 1720 Termino Avenue in Long Beach.
