The annual Summer Pops Concert will return to Long Beach City College, located at 4901 East Carson Street, at 6 p.m. Monday, July 9. As in the past, it will take place under the trees in front of the auditorium, just south of Harvey Way in Long Beach. The public is invited to bring their picnic supper, blankets and chairs and enjoy an evening of music performed by the Long Beach City College Wind Symphony and the band of the California Battalion. Beginning at 5 p.m., picnic dinners will be sold for $4.75, which include chicken, potato salad, fruit and a roll. Admission, parking and sodas are all complimentary.
