The St. Mary Medical Center Senior Health Program, in collaboration with HealthCare Partners Medical Group, will conduct a free “Stepping Into Summer” Health Fair & Fitness Expo on Wednesday, June 9 from 9am to noon on the St. Mary campus in the parking lot bordering Long Beach Boulevard and 11th Street.
The focus of the Expo is fitness, exercise, and healthy eating. Health information, screenings and give-a-ways are planned. Attendees can participate in screenings which include cholesterol and glucose, body-fat analysis, bone density, stroke, vision, weight management and fall risk assessment.
St. Mary’s Diabetes Education Program, the Disaster Resource Center, the Low Vision Center, the Surgical Treatment of Obesity Program and the Rehabilitation Department will answer questions and share information. Community vendors and agencies will also participate. A free morning snack of coffee, juice, fruit, and yogurt will be served. Parking is $2.
