Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster assists Water Commission President John Allen in hooking up a street sweeper to the City’s first recycled water filling station. Foster and the Board of Water Commissioners recently announced that the City of Long Beach will save 13 million gallons of water each year by making the shift from potable to recycled water for citywide sweeping operations. More than twelve similar stations will be constructed citywide.
