Congressmember Janice Hahn of California’s 44th District has endorsed 8th District Long Beach Councilmember Al Austin for re-election on Feb. 12, according to a press release from Austin’s office.
According to a press release from Austin’s office, the 8th district councilmember also received the endorsement of State Senator Ricardo Lara (33rd District) on Feb. 19.
On Feb. 27, Long Beach Firefighters Local 372 also announced the endorsement of Austin, according to his office.

Eric Gray, candidate for the Long Beach City Council’s 2nd District, announced on Feb. 9 that he received the endorsement of 70th District California Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell.
The Sierra Club announced in a press release on Feb. 26 that it will endorse both Eric Gray and Jeannine Pearce for Long Beach City Council’s 2nd District. The group wrote that it felt both Gray and Pearce were effective advocates for environmental issues.

Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia announced his endorsement of Long Beach Board of Trustees Area 2 candidate Irma Archuleta on Feb. 8, according to Archuleta’s office.
On Feb. 15, Bobbie Smith, a former Long Beach Unified School District board member, also announced his endorsement of Archuleta, according to Archuleta’s office.
Long Beach City Councilmember Dee Andrews announced his endorsement of Archuleta’s campaign on Feb. 20, according to a press release from Archuleta’s office.
Former Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster announced his endorsement of Archuleta for the board of trustees position on Feb. 22, according to a press release from Archuleta’s office.

The Long Beach Firefighters Association announced on Feb. 4 that it is endorsing Vivian Malauulu for Long Beach Community College District Board of Trustees Area 2, according to Malauulu’s office.
Nine building and construction trade unions formally announced their endorsements of Malauulu, according to a Feb. 19 press release from the candidate.
Malauulu announced an endorsement from the California Nurses Association (CNA) on Feb. 22.
Malauulu announced on Feb. 23 that the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO formerly endorsed her campaign for the LBCC Board of Trustees.
