For those looking to get in the spooky spirit, the Signal Hill Public Library will be screening “Nightmare on Elm Street” for those 18 and older Friday night. Come to the library hours earlier for the chance to fill a bag of gently used books for just $5. Head to Trademark Brewing on Sunday to enjoy music, drinks and Halloween-themed wares from over 30 local vendors at the Cali Scream Market.

If the season is drawing you to a more introspective space (the six-planet retrograde is finally over, so feel free to lean into those feelings) Kubo LB will be hosting a relationship wellness workshop Saturday morning, which will focus on communication skills and signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships. There are also a plethora of art shows throughout Long Beach and Signal Hill to get the creative juices flowing.

No matter how you choose to spend the week, be cautious of the flu, new COVID strains and monsters in all forms.
