With a mixture of sunshine and rain showers expected in the coming week, there’s plenty of both outdoor and indoor things to do in Long Beach and Signal Hill. French bulldogs will be gathering at Rosie’s Dog Beach, local outdoorsmen will be walking through Willow Springs Park and kids will be biking through Bixby Knolls.

Book lovers have two different book clubs to choose from this week, and can attend a silent book club with their own book, or help a new book club plan out future reads at its inaugural meeting.

Music lovers can enjoy DJ performances on Saturday nights, or go to an album signing at Fingerprints Music on Tuesday.

The public can celebrate Black History Month at several different upcoming events, including an African drum circle, the opening reception of an art exhibit, a movie night and a self-portrait workshop.
