As you reflect on another month and prepare for new beginnings, consider aligning yourself with like-minded individuals and trying new things with a week full of events in Long Beach and Signal Hill.
You don’t have to leave your neighborhood to make a difference, proven by a divestment tabling evening Friday in Bixby Knolls, a Palestine fundraiser Saturday at Casita Bookstore, a culturally-rooted art expo at Steelcraft Saturday evening, or two Long Beach budget meetings Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
Opportunities for free resources also come with chances to make connections, like at a free farmers market Saturday morning, a plant and garden supplies sharing event Sunday morning, a free summer resource fair Sunday afternoon, and a back-to-school ice cream social and supplies giveaway Tuesday night.
