As most of you know, a newspaper is nothing without its articles, news, columns and advertising. Furthermore, without ads, a newspaper’s accounts payable would never get paid. Ads are what bring in the revenue to pay for printing, distribution, rent, lights, phones, payroll, etc. This week, I want to let our readers know a bit about some of the happenings with our local advertisers.
Stop the presses! Breakfast Club of Long Beach (formerly Café Bixby), located at 3900 Atlantic Ave., will soon be open for dinner from 5pm to 9pm. From what I understand, owner Jack Skandalakis plans to rename his establishment Breakfast and Supper Club of Long Beach. Have questions? Call Jack at (562) 427-2233. Pizza fans, rejoice! Big E Pizza just got bigger! Located at 3225 E. Pacific Coast Hwy., the place is now triple the size of its former footprint. Taking over a large space next door, owner Jimmy Eleopoulos has added two more eating areas, including one with several televisions for sports fans. The beautiful woodwork, tile and décor have turned this eatery into a true spot for a nice dining experience. Look for their ads in the Signal Tribune for information on their grand re-modeling celebration.
Have a yen for sushi or tempura? Kashiwa Japanese Cuisine has changed their hours and contact information. Located at 2201 Willow St. Suite G in Signal Hill (straight across from Costco), Kashiwa’s new hours are Tuesday through Saturday, lunch 11:30am to 2:30pm and dinner from 4:30pm to 8:30pm. They are closed Sundays and Mondays. Also, for those who would like to call for reservations, their new phone number is (562) 989-5615, and Internet surfers should note that their new website is kashiwajc.com .
For multi-taskers… you can now wash your car and your dog at the same place— Bixby Knolls Detail Center and Car Wash. New to the establishment is a self-service dog wash that includes shampoo, conditioner and other amenities for just $10.
