The Long Beach Fire Department responded to a fire at an abandoned commercial building on the 1700 block of Long Beach Boulevard.
Public Information Officer Brian Fisk said that upon entering the building, firefighters found the body of a dead adult male and two critically injured females of unknown ages.
The two females were transported to trauma hospitals in the area. Fisk said that overnight, one of the females died from her injuries. The other remains in critical condition.
It could not be confirmed at this time why the three individuals were inside the abandoned building.
