Voting is open for the Long Beach Baseball Club team name

The Long Beach Baseball Club (LBBC) is holding a community vote to choose a name for their new pro team. After receiving over 1,300 submissions from residents and fans, the club has presented six options for the public to choose from.

According to the LBBC, entries were submitted from across the nation, including from Hawaii, New York and Alaska.

The six potential team name options are as follows:

  • Long Beach Coast
  • Long Beach Cruisers
  • Long Beach Grit
  • Long Beach Groove
  • Long Beach Parrots
  • Long Beach Regulators

Voting runs through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15. Participants can cast their ballots online at longbeachbaseballclub.com or in-person at several locations around Long Beach, including the Long Beach Airport, Joe Jost’s, SteelCraft Long Beach, District 4 Pizza, Riley’s on 2nd Street and Ism Brewing & Kitchen.

After the first round of voting, LBBC will further narrow down the options for the final vote. The final voting period will run Oct. 22-29. The official team name, logo and branding will be unveiled in January 2026.
