Seniors interested in taking Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) classes are invited to the OLLI Winter Registration & General Meeting on Saturday, January 10 at 9am in the CSULB Human Services and Design building, Room 101, near the corner of Palo Verde Avenue and Anaheim Road. Prospective students will have the opportunity to review classes being offered, meet instructors and enjoy refreshments before registering.
OLLI is offering a wide variety of lecture classes this winter, including the new Royal Scandals, Basic Bonsai Gardening and Let’s Go Auto Racing. Returning favorites include Bridge; Spanish I and II; Conversational Spanish; Paper Mâché; Watercolor Workshop; and Yeats— The Later Years. For those looking to improve their health and endurance, OLLI offers Today’s Health Issues; Tai Chi Chih; and Longevity Stick. New computer classes this session include Click Start Your Genealogy (MAC); Quicken (MAC); and Quick & Easy VHS Tapes to DVD Movies (PC/MAC).
Classes begin January 26 and run through March 20. OLLI, at CSULB’s annual membership fee of $40, covers winter, spring and summer sessions. Tuition is $10 per lecture class and $45 per computer class. Computer classes also require an annual $40 SeniorNet membership. Parking permits are available for a fee.
