A woman who was last seen in Long Beach has been missing since Jan. 1.
Joceline Johanna Torres Diaz was 29 at the time of her disappearance, and would now be 30 years old.
Torres Diaz is described as a Hispanic female, standing 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighing approximately 127 pounds. She is described as having hazel eyes, dyed blonde hair and freckles on her face. When Torres Diaz was last seen, she was wearing cross earrings, a white shirt, black pants, and had trash bags on her hands and feet.
In a social media post, a person identifying themselves as Torres Diaz’s sister wrote that she “has always been a beautiful, kind soul. She was an honor roll student, class president, and loved volunteering at the local homeless shelter. She also had a huge heart for rescuing and caring for dogs. Unfortunately, after a traumatic event, she began struggling with mental illness and distanced herself from our family.”
The Signal Tribune reached out to the Diaz family for comment, but did not immediately hear back.
Anyone who may have information about Torres Diaz’s whereabouts is urged to call the Long Beach Police Department at (562) 435-6711.
