CHLB welcomes two new staff members

Ray Jankowski, president and CEO of Community Hospital of Long Beach (CHLB), recently announced the selection of Heather Rigg as the new director of Food Service and Mary Alice McLoughlin as the new director of volunteers.
Rigg is a registered dietician with experience in food service and clinical nutrition management in a variety of settings, including acute care, long-term care, business and industry and handicap pediatrics. Before accepting the CHLB position, Rigg was the director of Food and Nutrition Services at Resurrection Health Care in Oak Park, Illinois. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Western Illinois University and was a dietetic intern with Loyola University in Chicago.
Mary Alice McLoughlin comes to CHLB with extensive experience directing the operations of nonprofit organizations. Most recently, she served as the executive director for The Cancer Support Foundation in Los Alamitos. As the new director of volunteers, McLoughlin will oversee 150 volunteers who assist with a wide range of duties throughout the hospital. She holds a Master of Science in organizational management from Antioch University in Los Angeles and is a certified nonprofit manager.
CHLB is an acute-care hospital serving Long Beach and neighboring communities. With an active emergency department open 24/7, CHLB is a major provider for the older adult population.
