Millikan High School, with its Orch-a-Band parent booster club, is hosting the 12th annual Long Beach Schools Jazz Showcase on Thursday, April 17 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Millikan High School Auditorium.
This event will recognize and showcase talented student jazz performers from Long Beach area elementary, middle and high schools. Student musicians will experience performing in public and each group will participate in a clinic with professional jazz musicians. All performers will benefit from hearing student jazz musicians from other local schools.
The event is open to the public and admission is free.
