Here’s an opportunity to understand the importance of living a “green” lifestyle, and have a fun day honoring that little patch of Earth called El Dorado Nature Center. The Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine invites residents and visitors to celebrate Earth Day 2008 at El Dorado Nature Center on Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Guests can celebrate Earth Day and Mother Nature with a walk at the beautiful El Dorado Nature Center and see for themselves the impact that lifestyles can have on the planet.
Visitors can stroll among trees and pause by the pond to contemplate the beauty of natural space, as well as learning more about the animals, insects and birds that inhabit our area. Hands-on activity tables will also be set up along the trail.
The Center is located at 7550 East Spring Street. Admission is free, and parking is $6.
