The Signal Hill Police Department’s 5th Annual National Night Out, sponsored by Target, will take place on Tuesday, August 5 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Reservoir Park in Signal Hill.
This is part of a nationwide event that encourages communities to join in partnership with police departments across the country in an attempt to discourage crime.
The evening will include activities for children, such as balloon art, face painting, an art maker to create fun projects, and a bounce house.
Free bicycle helmets will be provided by the Knights of Pythias. Bicycle reflectors will also be provided by Target and installed by a team located on site.
Participants should bring bicycles for lots of bike safety fun. Free child identification kits will once again be provided this year to ensure peace of mind to the parents of our community.
A live DJ will also be present to provide a relaxing and fun environment throughout the evening. The Police Mobile Command Vehicle will also be on site for viewing, as well as the Los Angeles County Station 60 fire truck.
There will also be a dunk tank and a raffle.
