The Belmont Shore Business Association will host the fourth annual Belmont Shore Community Chili Cook-off on Sunday, April 13 from noon to 3 pm.
The event features chili-cooking teams representing residents, businesses, and local organizations, all vying for the title of Best Chili in Belmont Shore. Chili teams will be located in various locations in front of businesses on 2nd Street. A map of team locations will be distributed at the event.
Tasting takes place from noon to 3 pm (or until the chili runs out). Attendees may purchase wristbands for $5 in front of Washington Mutual (5200 E. 2nd St.). Wristbands allow attendees to sample all chili entries and vote for People’s Choice.
Live music will be performed in front of WaMu from noon to 3:30 p.m., followed by the trophy presentation. Trophies will be awarded in the following categories; Best in Show, Best Tasting, Most Creative, Best Team Spirit, and People’s Choice.

The BSBA has a list of businesses looking to sponsor student and non-profit organization teams. Sponsored teams will receive $75 toward the cost of supplies and ingredients.
