The Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association (BKBIA) hosted its first Taste of Bixby Knolls event on Sunday, bringing together restaurants and businesses along the Atlantic Corridor for sample-sized tastings of the best that Bixby has to offer.

After two months of planning, 46 businesses participated in the events, including some of the neighborhood’s most popular restaurants and breweries.

Restaurants along the corridor offered tastings of some of their most popular dishes that visitors could buy with event tickets. Ticket sales help in part to fund activities and programs that the BKBIA support throughout the year, such as the popular First Fridays events.

A tasting-ticket purchase also came with a wristband that residents could use for discounts at participating retail shops.

The event was sponsored by fifth district councilwoman Stacy Mungo Flanigan and the Long Beach Airport, who provided grants.
