Update: Danielle Gomez was found unharmed by her boyfriend Kusha Karimi in Long Beach on March 21.

A woman who traveled back to her hometown of Long Beach from Seattle, Washington to spend time with her grandmother has been missing since Feb. 25, according to her boyfriend of five years Kusha Karimi.

According to Karimi, Danielle “Dani” Gomez is 31-years-old, five feet two inches tall and 110 pounds. She has brown eyes, dark brown hair with platinum/gray ends, stretched earlobes, and tattoos on her knuckles, forearms and knees.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, Gomez was reported missing to police on March 11.

Police said Gomez was last known to be in the 4500 block of E. Pacific Coast Highway, near the Los Alamitos Traffic Circle in Long Beach.

Karimi told the Signal Tribune that Gomez grew up in Long Beach.

She had reportedly been residing in Seattle but decided in January to fly back to California to spend time with her family.

According to Karimi, Gomez’s grandmother is staying in an assisted living facility in Long Beach and Gomez had been residing at the home of family members in Corona, traveling back and forth between the two cities.

According to Karimi, Gomez traveled to Long Beach and spent the night at a friend’s house on Feb. 24.

Karimi told the Signal Tribune that Gomez’s cell phone was out of service and that he later learned she lost it at a bank on Feb. 25.

Her family and friends have not heard from her or seen her since Feb. 25.

According to Karimi, on March 18 witnesses in the traffic circle area claimed to have seen Gomez, describing her as “lost and wandering.”

Karimi believes it is possible she may be experiencing mental health issues.

“My biggest fear that she’s deceased somewhere is on the back burner,” Karimi told the Signal Tribune.

Anyone who may have information about Gomez’s whereabouts is urged to call the LBPD Missing Persons Detail at (562) 570-7246 or Police Dispatch at (562) 435-6711. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous may submit a tip through “LA Crime Stoppers” by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or visiting www.lacrimestoppers.org.

“She’s a strong woman,” Karimi said of Gomez. “She’s a survivor.”

Correction, March 23:  A previous update to this story stated that Gomez was located by Long Beach Police Missing Persons detectives. She was actually found by her boyfriend Kusha Karimi.
