Police in Long Beach are searching for a woman who walked out of a jewelry store after stealing a $38,000 bracelet.
The theft took place at J&L Jewelry at 1823 Ximeno Ave. at about noon on Dec. 6, according to the store’s owner Janis Krantz.
“The woman was well dressed, flashing cash, talking big and carrying a designer handbag,” Krantz told NBC4.
The woman told Krantz she was looking for a bracelet to give her husband on Christmas, Krantz told the station.
Krantz filed a grand theft report with Long Beach police on Wednesday, authorities said.

Thieves are crafty at giving all the right signals to salespeople… They are also experts at human nature and the skill of distraction.. So sorry this happened to Jan. The folks at J & L run a beautiful store and do the ultimate in handling customers needs.
I will pray that this scoundrel gets caught and is prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
