Looking for a fun way to celebrate Easter with the family? Residents are invited to come out and have a hopping good time as the Easter Bunny makes its way to the cities of Signal Hill and Long Beach.
The City of Signal Hill Community Services Department is hosting its annual Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt Saturday, March 22 at Signal Hill Park, located on Cherry Avenue. Starting at 9 a.m., guests can enjoy the pre-hunt activities of crafts, activities and pictures with the Easter Bunny.
The egg hunt itself starts at 10 a.m. The egg hunt is designed for children under eight years of age, and participants must bring their own baskets. For more information, contact the Signal Hill Community Services Department at (562) 989-7330.
The Long Beach Weed and Seed Program will also sponsor its own egg hunt Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ernest McBride Senior Park’s California Recreation Center, located at 1550 Martin Luther King Avenue in Long Beach. The Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine Department will also be hosting simultaneous free egg hunts at 15 various neighborhood parks at 11 a.m. Saturday. The parks include Admiral Kidd, Bixby, Chavez, Drake, El Dorado West, Houghton, King, Pan American, Ramona, Silverado, Stern Champions, Veterans, Wardlow and Whaley.
