With Halloween festivities wrapping up, Día de los Muertos celebrations beginning, an election looming and even some eager to start celebrating Christmas, there is truly something for everyone this week.
Catch a few final Halloween gatherings at the family-friendly Trunk or Treat at the Fairfield YMCA or HaloHaloWeen Filipino heritage celebration downtown, both on Friday night, or a doggie Halloween parade Saturday at Marina Vista. More adult-centered festivities include two hangouts at local breweries ISM Brewing and Beachwood, both on Halloween night.
A flurry of Día de los Muertos events invites the community to honor loved ones at the returning annual parade at Rainbow Lagoon Sunday afternoon, a night of cumbia, drag performances and an altar at Sunday night’s Cumbiaton or a moonlight bike ride featuring a community altar and a cemetery stop Tuesday night.
