Residents are invited to show up Saturday, September 27 for a Bixby Knolls Clean-Up Day. Approximately 100 volunteers are needed to help pick up trash along Atlantic Avenue and Long Beach Boulevard, as well as pull weeds, sweep, and give Bixby Knolls a fall spruce up. This event is another ideal opportunity for the community to come together to make a difference in the neighborhood. Students will receive community service hours for their participation.
Volunteers should meet at 9 a.m. at It’s A Grind, 4245 Atlantic Avenue, to check in. Bags, gloves and refreshments will be provided by the BKBIA and the 8th District Council Office.
